This year’s summit carries the theme “Monetize Your Creativity,” with a focus on helping African creators unlock opportunities in an industry projected to grow from 3.08 billion dollars in 2023 to 17.8 billion dollars by 2030. It seeks to address the reality that while Africa’s creator economy is expanding, many digital creators still earn less than their global peers despite having comparable audiences.
One of the biggest highlights of the summit will be the keynote address by Chude Jideonwo, founder of Joy, Inc. and host of the WithChude platform. Widely regarded as a media entrepreneur and thought leader, Jideonwo has built a career dedicated to storytelling, innovation, and social impact. His presence at the summit signals the importance of grounding conversations about monetization in authentic experience and actionable insight.
Jideonwo will deliver the opening keynote session titled “Africa’s Creator Economy: Unlocking Monetization Opportunities.” This session will explore how creators across the continent can move from passion projects to profitable ventures, embrace data-driven strategies, and position themselves to thrive in a digital economy that is rapidly expanding.
The Digital Creator Africa Summit is part of the Africa Creative Market, a platform that has attracted more than 25,000 attendees from over 20 countries since its inception. The 2025 edition will feature panel discussions, workshops, brand activations, and pitch sessions designed to provide creators with practical strategies for building sustainable careers. It will also introduce Discover Naija, a cultural movement that highlights Nigerian stories across food, culture, music, dance, and fashion.
With Chude Jideonwo delivering the keynote, the summit promises to set the tone for a new wave of opportunity in Africa’s creative industry. It will be a defining space for creators who want to scale their platforms, diversify their income streams, and claim their place in a marketplace that increasingly values authentic African voices.
The event will take place at the Landmark Event Center in Victoria Island, Lagos, on Saturday, September 18, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
