Media entrepreneur and host of the viral talk show #WithChude, Chude Jideonwo, has been named the recipient of the Africa Positive Impact Creative Award at CLIMA Africa 2026, in recognition of his remarkable contributions to African media, storytelling and mental health advocacy. The honour celebrates Jideonwo’s more than two decades of pioneering work using journalism, film, television and digital media to amplify authentic African voices, promote emotional wellbeing and inspire positive social change across the continent.
From publishing his first book as a teenager to co-founding RED | For Africa and later establishing Joy, Inc., Jideonwo has consistently redefined the role of media as a force for human flourishing. Through #WithChude, now regarded as one of Africa’s leading interview platforms, he has created a trusted space where public figures, celebrities, business leaders and everyday people share deeply personal stories of resilience, healing and hope. His work as a filmmaker, bestselling author and mental health advocate has also helped reshape conversations around vulnerability and emotional wellness in Africa, reaching millions across the continent and the diaspora.
