Chude Jideonwo Takes Amazon Bestselling Memoir How Depression Saved My Life into a First-of-Its-Kind Video Format

Media entrepreneur, author and Chairman of HBC Holdings, Chude Jideonwo, has announced the release of the video book edition of his Amazon bestselling memoir, How Depression Saved My Life, introducing what is a first-of-its-kind innovation in how audiences can experience a book. The new format expands the reach of the memoir beyond the printed page, e-book and audiobook, opening audiences up to a fresh and more personal way to engage with its message. “And now for something even more exciting… The Video Book!” Jideonwo announced.

The video book presents the memoir chapter by chapter, with beautiful summaries and deeper perspectives delivered directly by the author. Designed for people who prefer watching to reading, have limited time, or find audio formats less engaging, it brings the ideas, reflections and lessons of the book to life through video. In the author’s own words, it offers an opportunity to experience the story not just through the words on a page, but through the voice, perspective and emotion of the person who lived it.

Published by Narrative Landscape Press, How Depression Saved My Life was released in 2025 in print and audiobook formats, with the e-book also available on Kindle. The memoir traces a decade of Jideonwo’s life, exploring professional success, depression, vulnerability, faith, healing and the search for meaning. Since its release, the book has become an Amazon bestseller and has continued to open conversations about mental health, adversity and the possibility of transforming pain into purpose.

The launch of the video book marks a pioneering step in extending the life and reach of a published work across multiple formats. With print, digital, audio and now video editions, How Depression Saved My Life meets audiences across different preferences and circumstances, making its message accessible to more people. It also reflects the possibilities for innovation in publishing, where storytelling can move beyond traditional formats without losing the depth and intimacy of the original work.

The book remains available in physical bookstores across Nigeria, on Amazon and at books.withChude.com. The e-book is available on Kindle, while the audiobook can be found on Audible.
