Media entrepreneur, journalist, and host of #WithChude, Chude Jideonwo, will join 400 Nigerian founders and business executives at the inaugural Business Growth and Data Clarity (BGDC) Session, organised by Fire Data, on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the Lagos Continental Hotel Rooftop, Victoria Island, Lagos. The half-day working programme is designed to move beyond conventional business conversations, giving participants the tools to examine the realities of their businesses, understand their numbers and leave with actionable plans for growth. Each founder will complete a full revenue audit, identify growth blockers and develop a 90-day action plan, while five businesses will receive ₦10 million grants each, awarded live at the event.
Jideonwo will speak on “The Capital Gap — Why the Most Important Conversation in Nigerian Businesses Is Still the Most Avoided One,” examining one of the most consequential challenges facing entrepreneurs: the gap between building a viable business and accessing the capital required to scale it. His participation brings a perspective shaped by years of building businesses and media platforms, navigating the Nigerian business ecosystem, and helping founders and emerging leaders think more critically about growth, influence and sustainability. Through his work as a media entrepreneur and storyteller, including his work on #WithChude, he has consistently created spaces for difficult but necessary conversations around the realities of building meaningful careers, businesses and institutions.
The Business Growth & Data Clarity Session reflects Fire Data Limited’s focus on helping businesses make better decisions by understanding the numbers behind their growth. The first cohort will bring together a carefully selected community of 400 Nigerian SME founders and executives for an experience centred on business clarity, growth and the realities of entrepreneurship. Jideonwo’s session will add a critical human and strategic dimension to that conversation, challenging business leaders to confront the conversations they may be avoiding and to think more intentionally about the capital, structures and decisions required to move their businesses from survival to sustainable growth. Fire Data’s work also emphasises the importance of knowing what is driving revenue, profitability and customer behaviour before making growth decisions.
