On a new episode of #WithChude, celebrated broadcaster Osi Suave talks about the struggles he has faced with depression to his fears about success and his dreams for the future. “You never really know what is triggering depression,” he says, describing the deep discomfort of living alone and confronting realities he often tried to avoid. He admits that success, for him, sometimes feels like a prison, even as he reflects on his extraordinary career at Beat FM, where he has hosted every show on every belt.

Beyond media, Osi opens up about the challenges of love and relationships in Lagos, the financial realities of chasing women in the city, and the rare moments he has found genuine affection. He also speaks candidly about the state of the media industry, noting that broadcasters are often underpaid compared to their counterparts in other fields. “Love is not how you feel, love is what you do,” he adds, sharing his perspective on relationships and his admiration for his friend Toke Makinwa, whom he describes as “the hardest working person I know.”

Osi also takes us into some of his most memorable career moments, recalling his conversations with Burna Boy, whom he describes as deeply expressive and passionate. And looking ahead, he reveals one dream he is yet to pursue—running for public office.
