Media entrepreneur and storyteller Chude Jideonwo made history on April 27th, 2025 with the first-ever African Talk Concert, WithChude Live, held in Lagos. The event delivered a powerful mix of raw conversations, emotional honesty, and unforgettable moments that moved both the audience in the room and thousands more online.
WithChude Live wasn’t just another show. It was a deeply personal experience, where some of Africa’s most respected voices shared the parts of their stories they’d never revealed publicly. Guest speakers included Funke Akindele, Pastor Jerry Eze, Bovi, Falz, and acclaimed writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Each one opened up with sincerity and depth, offering the kind of clarity and vulnerability rarely seen on public platforms.
The evening also featured dynamic panel conversations with Teni, Kiekie, Taaooma, Moses Bliss, and Hauwa Lawal. Their discussions touched on identity, faith, fame, purpose, and navigating pressure in today’s digital world. What set the event apart was the emotional safety it created, making space for truth instead of performance.
Jideonwo’s ability to draw out real, unfiltered stories made the Talk Concert a refreshing departure from the usual media spectacle. The event reminded everyone present of the power of honest storytelling to heal, connect, and shift culture.
