Enough is Enough (EiE) is a civic organization created to promote good governance and public accountability in Nigeria through active citizenship. To commemorate twelve years of service, the EiE Nigeria is set to launch her book, Footprints: Past. Present. Future.

The book records EiE Nigeria’s role in the civic space through the lens of others. The contributors include Chude Jideonwo, founder of Joy, Inc.; Oby Ezekwesili, the founder of #FixPolitics Initiative, ‘Yemi Adamolekun, the executive director of Enough is Enough Nigeria (EiE) and many other active players in the civic participation space in Nigeria.

Making the announcement on his Instagram page on Wednesday, December 7th 2022, Chude shared,

“Last week, my friend and sister, ‘Yemi Adamolekun, posted an article on the back page of Thisday newspapers that fully quoted the rallying-cry email I sent to friends and associates in 2010 – when our president had gone missing for weeks.

“Where is the outrage?” was the email that led to the #EnoughIsEnoughNigeria protests and then the EiE Nigeria organisation.

One of the best lucks all of us had was ‘Yemi’s acceptance to lead an organization that we thought was urgent in activating youth action and mainstreaming youth voice, but we were worried would fizzle out like many such coalitions in Nigeria. Without ‘Yemi, none of the things that happened after the protest including the trailblazing #RSVP (Register. Select. Vote. Protect) campaign would have been possible.

Under her leadership, EiE has been an important part of Nigeria’s major advocacy events of the past 10 years. And so it is with a lot of joy that all of us co-founders reconvene in Lagos to mark 10 years of a vision and mission that was and is one of the greatest highlights of my life.

I am incredibly honoured to have written the foreword to the commemorative book co-authored by all the brilliant faces you see on this flier. And I can’t wait to see the book and all my comrades in the protests from Lagos to Abuja, next week Monday!”

The book will be launched at the EiE event holding on Monday December 12th, 2022 at Shell Hall, Muson Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
