Chude Jideonwo Announces Two-Stage Book Launch to Kick Off ‘How Depression Saved My Life’ Global Movement
January 15, 2026 Dorcas

Chude Jideonwo has announced two landmark book launch events to formally begin the global journey of his memoir, ‘How Depression Saved My Life.’ After an intense 2025, Chude has intentionally shifted the tour to 2026, choosing to give the project the time, focus, and emotional presence it requires. The launches mark the official start of a movement centred on honest conversations about mental health, faith, purpose, and joy.

The first event will be an intimate book party for 100 culture leaders, designed as a private gathering of thinkers, creators, and builders who have shaped conversations across media, art, business, and public life. This will be followed by an invite-only global book launch welcoming 1,000 members of the #WithChude community, including friends, family, collaborators, and long-time supporters. Together, the two events set the tone for what the book represents: depth over spectacle, presence over performance, and community over noise.

Following the launch events, How Depression Saved My Life will go on tour from February to April 2026, with stops planned across Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Cape Town, Accra, London, Manchester, Berlin, New York, and Toronto. Each city will host intimate gatherings designed to hold space for reflection and open dialogue around the mind, heart, and spirit.

As the movement unfolds globally, Chude shared on his Instagram page that anyone interested in hosting book events in their city should reach out via [email protected].
