Founder of Joy, Inc. and host of the viral talk show #WithChude, Chude Jideonwo, has been announced as one of the faculty at the upcoming Torch-Bearers of Liberty (TBoL) Civic Leadership Training, scheduled to hold from October 20–24, 2025, at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Foundation, Abuja. The five-day program is designed to equip young civic actors and political organisers with the tools, resilience, and vision to advance democratic change under repressive and volatile conditions.
Chude Jideonwo will lead a session on “Using Media for Civic Change: Messaging, Storytelling, and Public Engagement” on October 21. Drawing from his two-decade career at the intersection of media, storytelling, and civic engagement, he will explore how narratives and strategic communication can shape public discourse, counter disinformation, and mobilise citizens toward collective action. His inclusion in the faculty follows the impact of his recent four-part docu-series on Diezani Alison-Madueke, which has screened at major international festivals and earned the award for Best Documentary in Nigeria.
He will join an exceptional faculty that includes Prof. Chidi Odinkalu, Dr. Fola Aina, Kofi Bentil, Hanifa Adan, and Debie Mangut, among others. Together, they will engage participants in bold conversations and provide practical insights to strengthen civic resilience and democratic values across Africa.
