Popular MC and hypeman, MC Fish, has opened up about love, marriage, heartbreak and personal growth in is conversation with the media entreprenuer and host of the viral show #WithChude, Chude Jideonwo. In the exclusive interview, the entertainer reflects on the lessons that shaped his journey, from navigating life in the spotlight to rebuilding after personal setbacks. Speaking openly about marriage and relationships, he shared the values that now guide his life, insisting that genuine love should never feel like competition. “If I love you, your shine doesn’t take away from mine,” he said.

MC Fish also reflected on his first marriage and the painful lessons that emerged from its collapse. Rejecting the notion that marrying at 27 was a mistake, he explained that the decision made sense for who he was at the time. “I don’t feel I married too young at 27, because I felt happy and respected,” he said. Looking back, however, he identified honesty as the foundation every relationship must be built on. “The lesson I learnt from my failed marriage is that honesty is vital in any relationship from both parties.” He added that while the experience was painful, it did not define him. “I failed at marriage once, but failure is not the end of the story.”

Beyond marriage, the conversation also shows identity, reinvention and the courage to embrace life’s uncertainties. Speaking about his evolution as a man, husband and public figure, MC Fish revealed that he is no longer interested in living within the limits of other people’s expectations. “I don’t want to put my life in a box anymore,” he said.
