Chude Jideonwo to Speak and Serve as Judge on Creator Investment and Independent Media at Moment 2026, Africa’s Largest Gathering of Creators
January 15, 2026 Dorcas

Award-winning filmmaker, media entrepreneur, and host of #WithChude, Chude Jideonwo will be speaking at Moment 2026, Africa’s largest convergence of creators, convened by Mainstack. The three-day event will hold from March 13–15, 2026, at the Landmark Centre, Lagos, bringing together over 4,000 creators, founders, platforms, brands, and industry leaders from across the continent and beyond. In addition to taking the stage, Jideonwo will also serve as a judge at the conference, lending his expertise to spotlight emerging talent and bold new ideas shaping the future of Africa’s creator economy.

Chude will take the main stage on Saturday, March 14, for a fireside chat titled “The $500K Bet: Why I’m Investing in African Creators.” In the session, he will share his 25-year journey in media, from walking into NTA to pitch his first television idea with no experience but deep conviction, to launching the Fourthmainland Fund, a $500,000 creator-focused investment initiative backing independent African storytellers. The conversation will explore why creator investment matters now, what Chude looks for when supporting creators, and how African creatives can build sustainable, lasting work beyond virality. As a judge, he will further reinforce this commitment by evaluating creators not just on popularity, but on originality, depth, and long-term cultural impact.

Moment 2026 is designed as a high-impact gathering that blends inspiration, access, and opportunity. Chude’s dual role as speaker and judge adds weight to an already influential lineup shaping the future of Africa’s creator economy. Attendees will engage in conversations that bridge creativity, business, and culture, while connecting directly with brands, platforms, and peers redefining independent media on the continent. His presence signals both investment and accountability, clarity in vision, courage in execution, and practical insight for a new generation of African creators building for the long term.
