Media entrepreneur and storyteller Chude Jideonwo is set to speak at Bloomberg’s Africa Business Media Innovators (ABMI) 2026 Forum, taking place from September 27–29 in Cape Town, South Africa. Now in its second decade, ABMI was launched in Johannesburg in 2015 as a platform for leaders across Africa and globally to examine the rapidly changing business and media landscape on the continent. The 2026 gathering will bring together media executives, technology leaders, investors, policymakers, entrepreneurs and other influential voices to explore the forces shaping the future of African media.
Over the years, ABMI has convened more than 1,000 leaders from media, business, technology and government across 66 countries, creating a rare space for cross-sector learning, collaboration and forward-looking dialogue. This year’s conversations will come at a particularly important moment for African media, with artificial intelligence and emerging technologies transforming journalism and content creation, digital platforms reshaping audiences, and traditional advertising models forcing media organisations to rethink sustainability and revenue. The forum will examine these developments alongside questions around subscription models, investment in media, digital innovation and the public policies that support Africa’s telecommunications and information infrastructure.
Chude Jideonowo’s participation brings his experience as a media entrepreneur, storyteller and builder of platforms for public-interest conversations into a room of some of the continent’s most influential media and business voices. His invitation indicates an opportunity to contribute to conversations about where African media is headed and what it will take to build a more innovative, sustainable and globally relevant industry. Chude will be sharing ideas with peers from across the continent, explore new models for media and storytelling, and contribute to the larger conversation about how African voices can shape the future of the global media ecosystem.
