Chude Jideonwo to Speak at 2025 Media Sustainability Conference in Abuja
June 28, 2025 Dorcas

Media entrepreneur and storyteller Chude Jideonwo has been invited to speak at the 2025 Joint Media Sustainability Conference, taking place from July 30 to 31 at the Abuja Continental Hotel in Nigeria.

Hosted by the Nigeria Media Innovation Program (NAMIP) and the Daily Trust Foundation, the conference will focus on the future of journalism in Nigeria and how independent media organisations can become more sustainable, resilient, and trusted.

The theme of this year’s event, “Future-proofing Nigeria’s Journalism Media: A Sustainability Dynamic,” reflects the urgency of building strong, values-driven media in an era of disruption, digital change, and increasing pressure on press freedom.

As part of the conference program, Chude Jideonwo will lead a fireside chat with Harlan Mandel, CEO of the Media Development Investment Fund. The session, titled “Sustainability Rises and Falls on Leadership,” will explore the role of leadership in media sustainability — especially in challenging environments where courage, clarity, and conviction are essential.

Known for his work at the intersection of storytelling, trust-building, and social impact, Chude brings a deeply human perspective to conversations about the future of journalism in Nigeria and across Africa.

This conference is a significant moment for media professionals, innovators, and advocates committed to strengthening independent journalism in Nigeria.

Another opportunity to shape the future of media — with honesty, clarity, and purpose.
