Award-winning filmmaker, media entrepreneur, and host of #WithChude, Chude Jideonwo, has been appointed Independent Judge for the Moment Awards 2026, the flagship recognition platform within Moment, Africa’s Largest Convergence of Creators, convened by Mainstack. The three-day gathering will hold from March 13–15, 2026, at the Landmark Centre, Lagos, welcoming over 4,000 creators, founders, platforms, brands and industry leaders shaping the continent’s fast-evolving creator economy.
Beyond his scheduled mainstage appearance, Chude’s role as Independent Judge positions him at the heart of the conference’s most defining decisions. Tasked with reviewing a curated shortlist of nominees across select categories, he will score entries using a structured rubric and provide insight to guide final selections. Known for elevating storytelling rooted in depth, humanity and cultural relevance, Chude brings a discerning perspective to the awards process, one that prioritises impact over noise, substance over virality, and long-term value over fleeting trends.
For over two decades, Chude has helped shape the tone and texture of modern African media, from pioneering youth-driven television to building #WithChude into one of the continent’s most influential talk platforms, and launching creator-focused initiatives such as the Fourthmainland Fund. His appointment as Independent Judge signals Moment’s commitment to credibility and excellence, ensuring that the creators celebrated on March 15 are not only visible, but visionary. In a time when the creator economy is expanding at record speed, this role reinforces a central question Chude has consistently asked through his work: What truly matters, and who is building to last?
