Media entrepreneur, journalist, storyteller, and host of #WithChude, Chude Jideonwo, is set to take the TEDx stage at TEDxLeadCityUniversity in Ibadan, where he will explore the powerful consequences of stories left untold. Under the theme “The Ripple Effect,” the independently organised event will hold on Friday, November 6, 2026, at the International Conference Centre, Lead City University, bringing together undergraduate and postgraduate students, faculty, alumni and invited guests for a day of ideas, conversations and experiences centred on leadership, innovation, personal development and social impact. Jideonwo will deliver a TEDx Talk titled “The Echo of Silence: The Ripple Effect of Untold Stories,” followed by an exclusive interactive session with Participants.
His session will draw attention to the relationship between storytelling and the human experience, exploring what happens when experiences, perspectives and important stories remain unspoken. With more than two decades of work across media, storytelling and culture, Jideonwo has built a career around creating spaces where people can speak honestly about their lives and experiences. Through #WithChude, his work has brought personal stories and difficult conversations to wide audiences, while his broader work as a media entrepreneur has continued to examine the role of storytelling in shaping individuals, communities and culture. His TEDx session offers a natural extension of this work, inviting a young audience to consider not only the stories we tell, but also the consequences of the stories we choose to leave unheard.
TEDxLeadCityUniversity is designed to bring students, innovators and thought leaders together around ideas worth spreading, combining thought-provoking talks, meaningful conversations and networking opportunities. The 2026 speaker lineup includes Chimezie Imo, Emmanuel Nduka, Victor Adebiyi (“Victor the Realtor”), and Haoma Worgwu, amongst others.
