Award-winning media entrepreneur, host of #WithChude and Chair of Fourthmainland Fund, Chude Jideonwo will deliver the keynote address at the Lagos edition of Ubuntu Café, a global ideas forum presented by NIFS TV in partnership with leading cultural and academic institutions. The event, which will hold on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 23 Thompson Avenue, Ikoyi, will bring the Ubuntu Café series to Nigeria for an evening of reflection, creativity, and community.
Ubuntu Café Lagos Edition is produced in partnership with the British Council, London School of Economics, and the Firoz Lalji Institute for Africa, creating a powerful intersection of culture, scholarship, and storytelling. The programme will feature opening reflections on Ubuntu, a keynote conversation with Jideonwo, and creative spotlights spanning music, poetry, spoken word, and film, followed by a creative mixer and networking session.
Speaking ahead of the event, Jideonwo described the invitation as deeply personal, noting his longstanding connection to LSE and the Institute. His keynote is expected to explore the philosophy of Ubuntu,“I am because we are” and its relevance to creativity, leadership, and collective flourishing in contemporary Africa. Ubuntu Café Lagos Edition runs from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, welcoming creatives, thinkers, and culture-shapers to an evening designed to spark connection and shared purpose.
