Chude Jideonwo recently joined storytellers and creators in Nairobi, Kenya, for the 4-Day Scriptwriters’ Clinic hosted by CcHub at iHub Kenya.

At the session, he spoke about the power and importance of using your voice — especially as storytellers working to make meaning and impact through art. His Storytelling Masterclass explored themes of authenticity, emotional truth, and storytelling for change. The conversation encouraged participants to think deeply about why they tell the stories they do, and what those stories can contribute to the world around them.

Chude also shared examples from his work at #WithChude, including projects like She Stole Our Ovaries and Where is Chijioke?, to show how emotional storytelling can help audiences reflect, heal, and connect.

This builds on the ongoing work he and his team have done across West Africa, including in Nigeria and Senegal, expanding their mission to tell stories that inspire empathy and drive change across the continent.

The session also featured an engaging one-on-one conversation with Brenda Uphopho, and a lively Q&A with participants. Joining the day’s lineup was Damaris Irungu, International Emmy Award-winning writer, who shared insights on story structure and character arcs.

Through sessions like this, Chude continues to champion the idea that storytelling is not just about entertainment, it’s about voice, truth, and purpose.
