Bukonla’s journey with RED | For Africa began as a university volunteer, and over the course of 12 years, she rose to become the Group Chief Operating Officer. In that role, she managed operations across six companies, multiple media platforms, and played a key role in expanding The Future Project and The Future Awards Africa to 16 African nations.
Reflecting on her time at RED, Chude shared: “Two years before she left, as a thank you for the uncommon and single-minded commitment she brought to a company that wasn’t hers, I gifted her a part of my own equity. She remains a key part of the company and will continue to enjoy the fruits of her labor with us.”
Speaking on her new book, Bukonla said: “Financial literacy is the backbone of any sustainable impact. This book is my contribution to demystifying those challenges, providing a practical roadmap that enables changemakers to focus on what truly matters—driving meaningful and lasting change.”
The Profit of Purpose provides practical insights on financial management, compliance, and sustainability for nonprofits and social enterprises.
