Chude Jideonwo and Adebola Williams: Celebrating Young Nigerians and Telling a New Story About Africa

In 2004, 19-year-old Chude Jideonwo sat in front of his TV, flipping through channels. Every news report focused on poverty, corruption, and struggle. But he knew Nigeria had more to offer.

Determined to change the story, he and his friend Adebola Williams started The Future Awards Africa to celebrate young Nigerians making a real impact. They wanted to highlight the innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders who were shaping the country’s future but weren’t getting the recognition they deserved.

That vision grew into Red Media Africa, a company using media and storytelling to showcase Africa’s progress and push for good leadership. Through their work, Jideonwo and Williams have helped shape conversations about youth leadership, social change, and the future of Nigeria.

From mentoring young talents to driving important discussions, they continue to inspire a new generation, proving that Africa’s best stories are still being written.
