In an exclusive interview with Chude Jideonwo on #WithChude, activist and EndSARS protester Eromsele Eromz breaks his silence for the first time. He recounted the horrific ordeal that followed his brave stance against police brutality during the EndSARS protests.
Arrested at home by a battalion of Nigerian police officers, he was tortured and subjected to inhumane treatment long after the protests ended. Taken from his house in only his boxers, Eromz was held in secret locations, often locked underground, sleeping in cells without roofs alongside 70 other detainees. The police denied ever arresting him, intent on making him disappear entirely.
For over a year, Eromz endured unimaginable suffering, passed between prisons and courts in secret. He shares the story of how he survived, reflecting on how the very system he protested against turned him into a victim of its cruelty. Eromz discusses his journey to create a lasting impact through an organization dedicated to ensuring a better nation in our lifetime.
