Award-winning filmmaker, media entrepreneur, and founder of Joy, Inc., Chude Jideonwo, has been invited to speak at the Cal Turner Program for Moral Leadership in the Professions at Vanderbilt University in the United States. The prestigious program, housed at Vanderbilt University Divinity School, has for over 25 years convened leaders and students across seven professional schools to reflect on ethical leadership, vocational identity and responsibility to the common good.

Chude was identified by fellows of the program as a moral exemplar in the area of psycho-spiritual care for marginalized communities, particularly in the context of Africa. This year’s cohort includes a Nigerian medical doctor pursuing a Master of Public Health degree, whose work centers on psycho-spiritual care for children as a means of preventing abuse and strengthening vulnerable communities. His invitation reflects the global resonance of Joy, Inc.’s work at the intersection of mental health, storytelling and civic transformation.

The engagement, scheduled for March, will bring Chude into conversation with an interprofessional group of graduate fellows from medicine, law, business, divinity, engineering, nursing and education. As a featured speaker, he will share insights drawn from his decades-long work in media and institution-building, offering perspective on how professionals can integrate purpose, compassion and ethical courage into their vocations. The program will also spotlight Chude and Joy, Inc. across its platforms, marking yet another moment of international recognition for African-led thought leadership in moral and civic renewal.
