Award-winning filmmaker and media entrepreneur, Chude Jideonwo, will attend the upcoming Media Forum hosted by the Media Development Investment Fund (MDIF) in Cape Town, South Africa. Regarded as the highlight of MDIF’s calendar and held every two to three years, the Forum convenes current and past clients, partners and funders for two and a half days of working sessions and purposeful networking focused on strengthening independent media worldwide.
Grounded in the belief that experience is the best teacher, the Media Forum creates space for participants to share practical responses to the challenges facing independent media across markets. It is a rare opportunity for cross-border knowledge exchange, strategic collaboration and relationship-building among leaders committed to credible journalism and sustainable media institutions. This year’s edition is particularly significant as it marks MDIF’s 30th anniversary, celebrating three decades of investment in independent media globally.
Chude’s attendance reveals his continued engagement in global conversations shaping the future of media, storytelling and institutional resilience, aligning his work in Africa with broader international efforts to safeguard independent voices and democratic narratives.
