Award-winning filmmaker, media entrepreneur, and host of the viral talk show #WithChude, Chude Jideonwo, will serve as a Juror for the 2026 #HerSafetyHerPower National Storytelling Challenge, a digital-first advocacy initiative by Safety For Every Girl (SFEG). The national competition calls on Nigerian women and girls aged 13 and above to reclaim the narrative of their own safety through short-form video storytelling, responding to the prompt: “The day I felt unsafe as a Nigerian female.”

As a juror, Jideonwo will be evaluating the Top 30 shortlisted entries during a remote review window from February 13 to February 24, 2026, bringing his depth of experience in storytelling, media ethics, and social impact to bear on submissions that move beyond recounting fear to proposing solution-driven insights. His role will directly influence which voices are amplified on a national stage, culminating in live showcases at the SFEG Period Summit in Lagos this March, a high-level leadership convening featuring policymakers, cultural influencers, and partners including MTN Nigeria. The summit will also debut The Power Awards, spotlighting courageous storytelling as a tool for structural change.

Jideonwo’s participation reinforces his longstanding commitment to using media as an instrument of advocacy and transformation. Through #WithChude and his broader work in independent media, he has consistently platformed stories that sit at the intersection of vulnerability and reform.

By lending his voice and judgment to #HerSafetyHerPower, he joins a growing national movement to convert lived experiences into collective action, ensuring that the stories of Nigerian women and girls do not merely echo, but shape policy, perception, and progress.
