In this emotional and honest episode of #WithChude, skit-maker and stand-up comedian, MC Remote, takes us through the winding journey of his life, the losses, the delays, the disappointments, and ultimately, the grace that has kept him standing. Growing up, every attempt to explore his talents was dismissed. Comedy, drawing, boxing, his parents said no to them all. He struggled through school, endured failure after failure, and then faced the greatest blow, the loss of his mother. That, he says, changed everything. It was the moment he had to leave home, to find his own path, to survive.
Remote speaks with rare candour about patience and faith, even when they felt like punishment. He recalls years of quiet struggle, borrowing a suit he still wears today, buying a car he could barely maintain, and sometimes crying alone in the corner of his room. Then came the shift: one chat with Dele Omowoli led to posts from Woli Agba, Ibrahim Chatta, and finally Tunde Ednut. “Jesus, at last,” he said. That moment of visibility marked the turning point in a story that had been marked by relentless waiting and unyielding hope.
He also opens his heart about marriage, sharing why he chose to wed in 2020. “I didn’t have a mother, and I was alone,” he says. For him, his wife has been the constant, the only one who could truly handle him, who stepped into that space of love and support, and has stood by him through every storm. This is not just about comedy, it is about grief, patience, faith, and the love that holds us together.
